A deep understanding of Iranian, Afgani, Chinese, Indian, Turkish, Caucasian, Uzbeki and other oriental rugs
AnyTime Carpet has rich expertise in cleaning and restoring Oriental and Fine Rugs. Over the years we’ve built up impressive knowledge about how best to treat Oriental rugs and other fine fabrics. Depending on whether the oriental rug is hand-knotted or flat-woven and its weaving style, we’ll determine the most appropriate method for cleaning and restoring it. It is work that demands great sensitivity and understanding.
The rug world in NY and NJ
Maybe your oriental or fine rug has come from Afghanistan, China, India, Iran, Nepal, Tibet, Pakistan, the Caucases, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan or Turkey. Maybe it’s called an Oriental, Dhurry, Chinese, Persian, fine tapestry or designer rug. Whatever the origin, you can be sure that AnyTime Carpet will have the appropriate rug cleaning and restoration expertise to do a superior job.
Seven careful stages over seven days
AnyTime Carpet uses the safest and most effective methods for cleaning and treating Oriental Rugs and other Fine Rugs. Our process usually takes a week and covers the following seven steps:
1) Measure and color test
We carefully inspect all rugs and color-test them to determine a safe and effective cleaning method. Fiber identification is always an essential part of rug cleaning.
2) Dry soil removal
We careful vacuum the rugs with special industrial methods to remove as much embedded dirt as possible. We then try to remove stubborn stains with special cleaning agents.
3) Cleaning with special agents
We place the rugs in a special bath of cleaning agents. Over a soaking period of 2-3 days, this releases and dissolves dried-in dirt that has accumulated inside your rug for years. (photo – 6020011) In the middle of the soaking period, we brush the rugs inside the bath to release more dirt.

4) Extraction and clear water rinsing
The rugs then pass through a special rinsing and water extraction machine, which sucks out 90% of the water. This process leaves the rugs wonderfully clean and fresh
5) Natural drying
The rugs, with 10% moisture still remaining, are hung up to dry naturally. We don’t use any artificial heating methods, which can damage the fiber.
6) Finishing and restoring
We apply several ‘finishing agents’ to counteract and prevent odors. We also apply Scotchgard Protection to inhibit stains. If your rug has fringes, then these will be specially groomed to restore their order. If any fringes are missing, we have the capabilities to restore them.
7) Delivery door-to-door
Finally the rugs are rolled and packed in our vans, ready to return to you. We deliver to your door in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut areas.
